Protecting People through Partnerships Conference

Posted on: January 30th, 2017 by CCVS Admin

Protecting People Through Partnerships is the latest in our successful series of joint community safety conferences co-designed and facilitated by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, Safer Essex and the Essex CVS Network.

This exciting and interactive event will begin with a keynote address from the Police and Crime Commissioner Roger Hirst, before introducing a series of speakers including:

  • Rt Hon Brandon Lewis MP, Minister of State for Policing and the Fire Service
  • Christian Papaleontiou, Home Office lead on Violence Against Women and Girls
  • Claire Morris, Managing Director of Anglia Ruskin Health Partnership

We will provide attendees with an opportunity to ask all speakers questions during a dedicated Question and Answer Session alongside Nicola Beach, Chair of Safer Essex.

After a short break, all attendees will be able to take part in one of seven workshops looking at Violence Reduction, Violence Against Women and Girls, Data Sharing, Mental Health, Reducing Reoffending, Safer Essex Roads Partnership and Anti-Social Behaviour.

We will end the session with the presentation of our Volunteer Awards, honouring the contribution of local residents who make our communities safer and stronger.

An exhibition of local projects and partners will be on display from registration and throughout the day.  Refreshments (including buffet lunch) will be provided.

A full agenda and details of how to nominate a volunteer are available to download below:
