Membership of CCVSThe role of the CCVS is essentially to bring together and assist the efforts of voluntary organisations, to link voluntary and statutory bodies and co-ordinate community effort. One of the main ways in which we achieve these ends is by being a membership organisation. Through relationships with our members we can represent the Sector's collective views to the statutory bodies, seek opinions and identify needs amongst local charitable and voluntary organisations. We can also develop and present a range of different services that support local activities and strengthen local groups. We welcome new members throughout the year and invite them to take advantage of the services and resources that we provide. These include: - Core services - such as our Community Accounts project, and Funding Information.
- News and Information - A Monthly Newsletter and Regular E-mail Newsflashes
- Capacity Building - Training Programmes that cover topics such as Basic Book-keeping and Writing Funding Applications, and Advice Surgeries on topics such as Finance and Funding
- Networking Events - Community Forums, a Volunteers Lunch in celebration of the fundamental work of volunteers, and our annual AGM and Conference
- Office Services and Room Hire
Members can exclusively access some of the resources or benefit from them for free or at reduced rates.
