Volunteer Centre / Time Bank

We connect people who want to volunteer with volunteering opportunities.

We have a substantial number of opportunities within organisations like

MIND
Women’s Refuge
CHICKS (Country Holidays for Inner City Kids)
The Campaign to Protect Rural Essex.

Time Bank
Allows people to invest time helping others in exchange for receiving help themselves.

In 2011 2,699 hours were exchanged between nearly 100 active members and 46 local charities or voluntary groups.

Colchester Community Voluntary Services is an incorporated registered charity and has been established within Colchester since 1968. We are an independent infrastructure organisation, which provides fundamental support to voluntary and community organisations (VCO's), establishes relationships between voluntary and statutory groups and guides local projects.
